They had to shoot this commercial three times. The first two times, the girl looked over her shoulder as the jet passed and lost her balance and fell down. It was the first SWA commercial that featured an actress instead of employees. The pilot was the VP of Flight Operations, Don Ogden and, reportedly, when he saw the film clip he was bummed that one of the engines was a real “smoker.”
