Virgin Australia unveil new uniforms

Modelled by Elle Macpherson and a team of 60 Virgin crew and pilots, the uniforms were unveiled on a makeshift runway at Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall in true Virgin style. Virgin Blue hope to put the glamour back in to air travel with the unveiling of new designer flight attendant uniforms, a new business class cabin and a “superior economy class”.

Meridian Fly air hostesses and new uniform scandal

An Italian airline Meridiana has sparked outrage among stewardesses by suggesting that its air hostesses go on a diet so they can fit into their new Size 10 uniforms. An Italian airline, which operates flights from Italy to destinations across the world, issued the directive when a former model who has become cabin services director met staff. Cristina Ceolin, who is married to one of the firm’s directors, is alleged to have told the female members of staff: ‘Darlings, you cannot get any fatter, in fact if anything you must all slim down.’

Take a look at the new promos of the German low cost airline Germanwings.

Germanwings is a low-cost airline based in Cologne, Germany, which is wholly owned by Lufthansa. Further Germanwings bases are at Hannover-Langenhagen Airport and Dortmund Airport. As of December 2010, the Germanwings fleet consists of 30 Airbus A319-100 aircraft with an average age of 5.4 years. Another 8 aircraft of the same type are still on order waiting for delivery. The airliners are equipped with either 144 or 150 passenger seat in an all-economy class layout.
